Hello New Day.
Hello New Week.
Hello New Adventure.
Another week has come and gone. I would really love to be able to tell you all the things I did, and that I hit all of my goals…but honestly I can not remember last week. Last week passed by in a blur! A blur of warm weather and fun time outside.
I can tell you that I did keep my sunflowers alive!
This week coming up is going to be crazy busy. I’m not sure I am ready for it. I just want to go back and enjoy the weekend for a few more hours, or days…
Knowing that it is a busy week ahead the best thing I can do is go into the week with a plan!
So here is my plan and goals for the week so hopefully we all survive the craziness.
Home Goals
1. Meal plan. STICK TO THE MEAL PLAN! I wrote out a meal plan last week, and I didn’t stick to it. Such a waste. It also made for some crazy nights of trying to figure out what to do for dinner.
2. Clean and organize. Get together baby stuff that my daughter has outgrown and get ready to sell and donate.
3. Set a time before bedtime. I love this idea, but I always forget about, that is until I put the boys to bed and come back down to the living room!
Family Goals
4. Read every day. Reading is so important and I want to make sure my boys grow up with a love for reading.
5. Spend more time together. No electronics, no distractions, just family.
6. Organize the family Calendars. I am usually on top of this, but for whatever reason I have been putting this off.
Personal Goals
7. Work out at least 4 times a week. I did really good this past week, but Sunday we had a family birthday party, and let me just say one thing…Cake.
8. Take time for myself. I suck at this. It just doesn’t come easy. I have been wanting to take a relaxing bubble bath for the last two weeks and I haven’t. I keep coming up with excuses that other stuff needs to be done.
Work Goals
9. Work. Plan. Create.
10. Don’t be afraid to leap.
Mix all of this in with appointments, school, homework and life, and this week should be interesting! Can’t wait to see what it holds.
Do you make weekly goals to help you keep on track?
How do you stay organized?

Hello New Day.
Hello New Week.
Hello New Adventure.
Oh Monday. We meet again. This week I have decided to dedicate to getting back on track and organized. I feel that after a week of sickness in the house that everything has completely fallen off track.
It has been a while since I have done my 10 Weekly Goals, but its time for that again.
So here we go.
Home Goals
1. Clean. Organize. Total Spring Cleaning. Clean windows, put away winter stuff again!
2. Set a timer before kids bedtime, 15 minutes, and have everyone help clean and tidy up.
3. Meal plan! Stick to that meal plan!
Family Goals
4. Keep our Sunflowers alive!
(This picture was taken exactly one week after we planted them! You can read more about this in my post here)
5. Read every day. Sounds simple enough right? But things like school, homework, after school activities add up.
6. Start planning our summer to-do lists and trips!
Personal Goals
7. Workout at least 4 times a week. I have really been slacking on this one lately. Its been really bad.
8. Relax. Again, this sounds easy enough, right? Well it’s not. I miss reading for myself. I miss being able to sit down for 15-30 minutes and not feel bad about it.
Work Goals
9. Get back on track! Plan, write, schedule, organize my thoughts and plans!
10. KEEP MY DESK CLEAN! Oh my goodness. I still swear there is a force field there.
So this is what I hope to accomplish this week. And I will, I totally will! I have to!
How often do you set goals for yourself? How do you make sure you stick to them?

Want to join me on a fun adventure?
Lets grow some Sunflowers!
Now let me begin by telling you something, I have a black thumb. Elsa has her ice powers, I have the power to kill plants simply by being near them. Despite my best efforts, this is where plants and flowers come to die. I’m sorry. I have tried to change my ways, but have had no such luck yet.
So this spring/summer I thought it would be super fun for the boys and I to try to grow some Sunflowers. And maybe, just maybe, my children did not inherit my black thumb, and these flowers will actually stand a chance! Plus this is on our Spring Bucket List, so you know if we wrote it down, we have to do it.
And honestly, I love Sunflowers. They are beautiful and there is something about them that is just cheerful, don’t you think?
So here we go.
It is a little bit early to plant them. So according to a nice lady at the plant and flower store I could start growing them like this, then transplant them outside later.
So here it goes.
Now for the fun part, playing with dirt, I mean filling the little cup things with dirt. (I’m such a flower killer I am not even sure of the right names for these things, maybe it is just called a cup.)
And now to play with water. I mean water them. And done. (Things are always so much more fun when little boys are doing it. A simple “Please water the plants, turns into an all out water war.)
Now to hope we get some little flowers out of these!
If you happen to know a ‘flower growing dance’ or something, let me know. Seriously, if you know any other gardening secrets please share! I need all the help I can get!
